Hunting Concessions

Our hunting safaris take place from our private game farm, Bultfontein, situated in the Lady Grey area of the Eastern Cape Province, as well as throughout our other hunting conservancies. Our hunting concessions run from the valley of the historic Great Fish River through to the Maluti mountains on the edge of the great Drakensberg range. Our hunting concession offers most of the plains game from the small Duikers through to the thrilling and exciting Cape Buffalo. The area is both malaria and cholera free.

Bultfontein Private Game Farm

Wild Horizon was bought about by our realisation that the days of really remote and special places in South Africa appear to have “disappeared”. Our game farm, Bultfontein, is special in that it offers extreme remoteness and solitude, mixed with game viewing, massive altitude changes, splendid mountain scenery and challenging 4x4 routes. Our game farm is situated on the boundary between the Eastern Cape Karoo and the Southern point of the Drakensberg, in the Lady Grey area of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. Besides the hunting safari, this is also an excellent freshwater fly-fishing venue offering not only Trout, but also the much sought after Yellow fish.

Hunting Accommodation & Facilities

Bultfontein Private Game Farm provides a comfortable old farm house as accommodation, and whilst very comfortable, our farm house does not boast air-conditioning or jacuzzis. It does, however, offer comfortable, clean bedrooms and bathrooms, and excellent dining. Food is of a high standard and typically South African and we serve the best local wines and beer. Due to the remote nature of our trip, we carry most of our supplies with us. Transport is provided in one of our comfortable and well-maintained 4x4 vehicles.
